About the Gold Coast Jack Russell Terrier

Gold Coast Terrier Network was established in 1989 when a core group of terrier enthusiasts became aware of the need for a source of information and cohesion in the Florida Jack Russell world. At that time there were very few sound quality terriers in Florida. Breeders were scarce, many uninformed. Organized events have brought us together to learn about the Jack Russell, improve the quality of our terriers, and provide a source of information about Jack Russells to the public. We are honored to be successful in preserving the working body and spirit of the Jack Russell. Many of our terriers go on to be successful in the hunt field and national competitions.

Gold Coast volunteers host and run many events throughout the year and staff the newsletter. The newsletter is a quality periodical with articles of interest to owners and breeders, advertisements, and a list of upcoming events. Events can be a combination of any activity (racing, go-to-ground, agility, conformation, lure coursing, obedience, etc.). Some are open to other types of working terriers. We welcome anyone interested in Jack Russells or other terriers to visit with us, come to our events (with or without a terrier), meet other terrier-addicts and have fun with newfound friends. Gold Coast is an open terrier club with no other club or political affiliations.
